THE JUBILEE BALL.

The Provincial Hall presented a brilliant spectacle last; evening, onthe occasion of the Jubilee Ball, no less than 150 couples being on the floors of thp main Hall and, the Grand Jury room, which; was, also thrown open if or dancing, its floor being covered with stretched hoilanoY The , floorywas handsomely decorated; with flags, curtains, etc,' the photographs of old settlersadornirig 'the^wps^ arid con-' verting the i ohamber into a^yieriiable picture gallery,' a painting Qf Sir David Monro occupying ajpositiori of honor in front of the eastern gallery. A large tent, adjacent to the Courthouse, had been-erected as a supper room, and the tables were' tastefully decorated, the tenf being lighted with Chinese lanterns, giving a very pretty effect.
