STOKE ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Board , wai held at Richmond on December sth, all membots being pre.ent. Mr P. Best iv the ohair. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. The Overseer's report was read. A letter from Messrs Tate and J. Hart, requesting the Board to fill up some ruts with gravel, also to clean out the watertables to prevent -the water from tunning down the centre of 'the road, leading to their properties. Resolved, That the overseei attend to this matter. Messrs Kidd and Busoh waited upon the Board respecting the opening up and sale of rosids in Aniseed Valley. Resolved, That these matters stand over until the next monthly meeting of the Board. Resolved, That the ool.'eetor apply for all unpaid rates, giving a fortnight's notice before taking further proceedings. Tenders were opened for forming in Poor Man's Valley, Stoke. F. Norgate, £5 ; D. Ra'ynor. £4 ; J. Leighton, £3 10a. Resolved, That Mr Leighton's tender be accepted. Mr W. Ray's being the only tender for forming on Clover Road, > Appleby, was accepted at 10s 6d per chain. ' Resolved, that the next two monthly meetings of the Board be held in the evenings at 7 p.m. Vonobers were passed for the payment of £20 15s Gd. • -- ....... — 1- "•**■"_?
