The following tenders were received and considered by the Waimea County Council yesterday :— Excavation Motueka HarbourFrank Hawken, £53 10s ; E. Smith and Co, £50; J,*Hogan, £43 10a lOd; W.A.Herrick, £66 ; Malone and Edmundson, £38 14a 2d (accepted); '^Building new Bridge on Stoke Port Road— F. 'Johnson, £39 10a ; H. Norgate, £36 10s ; J. F. Fedden, £31 10s ; J, Avery, £28 10s ; Charles Hill, £27 19a ; F. W. Holdaway, £24 5s (accepted). Work in Trass' Valley, Wai-iti— F. H. Smith, £27 : John Thompson, £19 9s ; W, G. and J, M, Currin, £15 7s (accepted). Football. — The Albion II play the Richmond team on Saturday at Riohmond, the following being the players:— Riohmond: Crump, Duff, Clarke, Hodder (2), Hogg, Holdaway, Harris, James, Papps, Raflel), Talbot, Tetley, Wilks, Leonard ; emergencies Rogers and F Wilks. Albions: Dee (2), Carter, Gay, Menary, Tibbie, Weir, Ward, Fairey, Slattery, Davis, Britt, Rioharde, Peroival, Toms, Glover, Brimmer, and Pearson. The senior teams of the Nelson and Albert Clubs will meet in the Botanical Reserve, when a good game is anticipated. Ths following will represent the Nelson Club:— Sadd, Harper, Harkness, Golly, Shallorass, Riley, Batehelor, Catley, Trolove, Sigley, Denoker, Hamilton, Broad, Fox, and Spiers ; emergencies, Levien (back), Hamilton (forward). Prince Alberts : Barltrop, gßoberts, Nesbitt, Hall, Cleff, Wainhouse, Leveatam, Barnett, Strawbridge, Lipscombe, Clear, Hargraves, Scott, Simmons, and Anstioe. Complimentary. — Mr F. Trask, Mayor of Nelson, was present at the Borough Council meeting last night, and on the motion of his Worship the Mayor, was invited to take a Beat at the Counoil table. Mr Trask, during his stay in Blenheim, has visited moat of the | places of interest in the district He yesterday paid a visit to the Boga and Marlborough Meat Factories, where he was cordially received, and at the latter establishment he was given an opportunity of seeing how expedite oußly sheep can be put through for freezing purposes. Mr Trask warmly praises the hospitality of the Marlborough folk, and the magnificent oountry and climate we enjoy in the Wairau Valley.—' Marlborough Express, 1 Saturday.
