ANNIVERSARY OF COURT LITTLE JOHN. A.O.F. Last night the seveath anniversary 0: Court Little John was celebrated by a tea anc social gathering, both of wbioh were largely patronised. Bro G. Haslem, the Distric Secretary, presided, and in his opening Bpeeoh referred to the value of the Juvenili branches in connection with the Order. Ht stated that there were 1,400 Juvenile Courts with a membership of 82,600, 16,550 nev members being added in a year, and no less than 4,892 were in the earns time transferrec to the adult Courts. He also stated tba sufficient information had been received fron England to enable them to start a Femali branch in connection with the Order it Nelson, into which ladies from the ages 0 16 to 45 would be admitted. Bro W. Douglas the Superintendent, presented the report and balance sheet, from which we gathered tha the Court has 70 members ; that 30 had beet initiated during the past twelve months, am thirteen ti&nsfered to Court Robin Hood that the total worth of the Court's funds wai £97 15s 4d ; and that no deaths had taker place during the seven years the Court hat been in existence. The repo-t and balanci sheet were adopted on the motion of Bro E Finney, who expressed a hope that befon Another anniversary came round a Fema'i branch would be flourishing in Nelson. I competition for prizes fo reading aad reoiiinj followed, Bro* W. T. Bond and Doug'aa beini selectad 03 Judgeg. The prizes were dis tributed as fol'ows— Reading : bro W. Pocle Reciting : Bro W. Poole, 1 : Bro G. Haslem 2. Introducing most members; Bro Ceoi Nash, for ten members during the year Best behaved : Bro Anoell. Miss East con tributed some music, Misa Wastney, Mis Biggins, and Bro East, junior several songs Dancing was kept up with spirit until mid nignt, Bro T. H. Jones aoting 89 Master 0 Ceremonies. Bro G. Clements gave ever; satisfaction as caterer.
