SAMOAN TREATY.
LONDON, | June 15. ! The Samoa* Treaty has bean signed, America having abandoned its principal objections. The text of the Treaty is kept secret, but it provides that affairs in Samoa are to remain in statu quo until December, in order to afford the American Senate a chance of ratifying the Troaty. It also guarantees the autonomous administration of the Islands under the joint control of Germany and America, with Great Britain as arbitrator in the event of any difference. The Samoa as are to elect their own King and Viceroy. Tbe [ Senate is to be composed of the principal chiefs, and the Chamber is to be elected by the people. The Native Government ia to be permitted to levy duties on imports, except upon arms and liquors, the importation of whioh are to be restricted. Germany receives a money indemnity. A special Court will settle the land questions. The Comal* are to control the Municipal Government at Apia, and genarally question! effecting tbe lives and property of foreigner! are to be referred to a Judge, who is to be appointed by the Powers.
Mr Blame itates that he oonsiders the Treaty eminently satisfactory.
