lh» Aaoktond Rating Club held their winter meeting to-day at Ellerelie, when the weather was fine, but the course was heavy from recent rains. -The following were the results: — Hurdle Bace-Oddfellow, 1; Armourer, 2; Don, 8 ; won by two lengtls. Divs, £1 163 «d arid £119s. Maiden Steeplechase—Hurricane, 1; MU3eatfilla. 2. Divs, £113 a6d and £117s. Winter Handioap-Signess, 1; Eruption, 2; Tetford, 3. Won rather easily by a length. Divs, £15 155.. Great Northern Steeplechase — Don, 1; Shillelagh, 2; Orangeman, 3. Artist, Guy Fables, Beornit, Oddfellow, and Landseer also started. Artist led for about 2& miles, when he fell, and Shillelagh then took up the running, but in the straight he was challenged by Don, who won on the post by a neok. Oddfellow fell at the second hurdle, and then baulked when he came on to the flat, and had to be pulled up. Diva, £27 3s and £2010s. Messenger won the Selling Steeplechase, and Leerina the Ladies Bracelet.
