RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
YESTERDAY. Before A. Tubnbull, Esq., R.M ) Nelson College v. James Hackworth.-— Claim for £79, interest due on loan. Judgment for the amount, with £3 163 6d coats. Mr Harley appeared for the plaintiffs. Wm. Child v. Harry Goss—Claim for £1 199. Judgment for the amount, to be paid in instalments of 2s 6d per week, or in default one moßth's imprisonment in Kelson gaol. H. V. Phillips v. George Hooper.—Claim for £2 18s lOd for goods supplied. Judgment lor the amount, with costs 7s. - George Harper v. W. B. Scott.—Claim for £3 11s 3d, cost of a valuation. Judgment for plaintiff for £3, with 16s coats. A. A. jScaife (in the estate of Harley and Little) v. James Coffey.—Claim for £67 5s 3d for,rent of Nelson Hotel due. This was a disputed account, the defendant claiming the amount was not due. Judgment was given for £38 5s 3d, with £3 lla 6d costs. Mr Fitt appeared for the plaintiff.
