TAKAKA ROAD BOARD.

1 A meeting of the Takalot Boad Board was held on the 16th August, when all the members were preient. ,;■■■, .:■■.. I The miuutea of the previous..'meeting were read and confirmed. ' > i Mr Sinclair proposed, and Mr Bartlett seconded, that the Secretary make the necessary alterations and additions to the rats roll for this year.—Carried unanimously. ■ Mr Rose proposed, and Mr' Page seconded, that the rate for this year be three farthings inthepound. ' . : :■ ; Mr Bartlett proposed that the rate be £d in the pound.—Not seconded. - ! Mr Manson proposed, and Mr : Sinclair seconded that the rate for thig year be one penny in the pound. :;;,,;;, For the amendment Messrs Manson, Sinclair, and Newport voted, and for the resolution Messrs Eose Bartlett, Page, and casting vote of Chairman.—Resolution carried.
