: ; Good TeupliAby.—-A: meeting took place oh Afarch 19, wbioh had been, convened by;the District Deputy for the.pUrpose of examining the ballot papers on the voting for Grand Lodge Eepresentative. The scrutineers ap-pointed-were:—For the Nelson Lodge, Bro Gaynor; for the lioyal Marine" Lodge, Bro T. Vercoe; for the, Normaaloy.Lodge Bro T. H. Stringer; for " the ■ Hope' of Takaka Lodge, Bro W. T. Sherwood; for the Hope of Wakefield Lodge, Bro. W. Gibson ; and for the Tadmor Lodge, Sister A. Harfprd. The ballot papers having been gone1 through by Bro F Piekard! District Deputy,: and the scrutineers, the voting was found to be as follows:—For Bro'E. Watson, 92 votes; Bro D. Burn, 22 votes, and thereupon the District Deputy deplare'd Bro Watson to be the Grand Lodge Eei)resentive. No opposition having occurred for the office of District Deputy, Mr John ■ Hey hoe has: been declared elected to office for the ensuing year. ; '' ; The funeral of the unfortunate boy Braddock, who was drowned in the City Baths on March 4th, tbok; place on the 6th of March, Deceased had been a scholar in Mr Chepmell's division of the Bridge street schools, and about fifty of the scholars, accompanied by their master,'joined the" procession,' and followed their late school fellow and comrade's remains to the grave. The burial service of the Ghurbb of England was impressively read by.the^lUvE. O. Nightingale. The boys afterwards marched back to town, and throughout; shdwed by their dehaeanour that they respected their late*-comrade^ and sympathised witUJh&Jiejmiedjones.
