Ok Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Returning Officer officially declared Mr A. J. Eiohmond to be duly elected,* the numbers polled by each candidate being as was previously published.. It showed they appreciated,an,, old servant, who claimed to have honestly* conscieu-, tioußly. and faitfrfuOy Berved them for six 'years, andhe, have lost.npiopportunity of the interests-pL the whole Nelson district. Hd wae glad that this contest had paved without a jingle rough word, and ha was happy to add that they w«r« all, he wag sure, as good friends then as before the battle.
