CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor of the Colonist. Sir,—ln accordance with a notice published in your columns, calling a public meeting to take into consideration the conduct of Mrßuchholz, as one of the directors ■of the projected Motueka Steam Navigation Company, the meeting was held, when the following resolutions were proposed:— _ I-. " That in the opinion of this meeting, owing to the action taken by Mr Buchholz in purchasing an interest in the steamer Ino, it is not advisable to proceed any further in endeavoring to form a Company to purchase a steamer for the Blind Bay trade. — Carried unanimously. _ 2. "That this meeting is quite satisfied with the explanation given by Mr Buchholz regarding the step which he haa taken in purchasing shares" in the steamer Ino, and and that the district will be greatly benefitted by his having done so."—Carried by a majority of 24 to 21. —I am, &c, Joseph Foord Wilson, Chairman of Meeting. \
