CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION.

The following candidates have passed their examination in the order of merit in which their names appear: — Jr/Nioß Examination. Burnett, J., Wellington. Blackett, J. W., Wellington. Viekoi man, C. R., Piclon. Pratt, C. 15., Ciiriatchureh. Wither, I?., NeUon. Buckland, J., Welltngton. Cooper, W. Auckland. Marchant, F. W., Wellington. Senior Examination.

Of the candidates who passed the Junior Examination, the first five are from Nelson College; while four of these also head the Senior List. The tabular statement of the Senior Examination shows that each of the four Nelson candidates passed in all the Mathematical subjects, in English, Lfttin, and Geography; two passed id French, one in History, and one in Physical Science. The result, to say the least, is highly satisfactory as regards the Nelton College.
