The whole of the exhibits forwarded by the Company have been taken notice of, and we are informed that there was no special preparation of the fleeces, which were chosen from the clip as they were shipped to London. The Judges at Sydney have appended the following note to their award in class 237 : —'■ Tlih is as good a specimen of Leicester and lustre wool as we have ever seen in the Colonies. The same remark applies to the whole of the exhibits of this brand." The reporter of the Australasian further refers to the same exhibits, as " a remarkable sample of Leicester wool, which gladdens the heart of the Bradford Judge. There appeared to be not more loss than 25 per cent, in the washing, comparing the washed and greasy parcels from the same (looks, ani in point of strength and lustre the wool was perfection." This Show was intended for merino wool, and hence the " recommendation " of fir-it and second prizes to the Company's Leicester wools.
