The Superintendent is authorised by the " Patent Slip or Dry Dock Act, 1867," as amended by the " Floating Dock Act, 1869," to guarantee returns for the amount of capital expended on such work (not exceeding £25,000), at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, lor ten years.
