GOVERNMENT NOTICES. ELECTION NOTICE. ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF NELSON. IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled. " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, Thomas Beunneb, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Nelson, do hereby give notice, that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 3rd day of December, 1868, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the RETURN of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of CANDIDATES will take place at the Provincial Hall, Nelson, on FRIDAY, the 18th day of December, 1868, at Noon, and that the POLL (if necessary) will take place on THURSDAY, the 24th day of December, 1868. The following places are POLLING PLACES for the Electoral District of the City of NelsonProvincial Hall; Odd-Fellows' Hall.
