THE ELECTION FOR NELSON.
The nomination for candidates for the yacant Beat for the city takes plnce in the Provincial Hall at noon to-day. Mt. Shephard addressed the electors on Tuesday evening, and a full report of thfl proceedings appears in our columns this morning.' Mr. Edwards has held no meeting, deferring the expression of his views till to-day. When they are before the public, we shall take an opportunity ot commenting on the opinions and promises of both candidates.
