MELBOURNE.—January 10.—Breadstuff's are steady—loo tons of flour sold at £15 10s. Sales of wheat have been effected at 6?. 6d. to 6s. 9d. Sugars are in great demand, chiefly bre >viug, at £34 to £37. There is a brisk inquiry for t )bacco ; 200 packages of fancy sold at 2s. Cornsacks, 12s. 9d.; Dundees, 13s. There is some inquiry for Martell's brandy, and a few sales hare been effected; holders are firm ; Marzetti's is quoted at 6s. 3d. —January 13.—Breadstuffs are unaltered ; a line of wheat has been sold at 6s. 6d.; brandy is inquired for, and Hennessey's has improved 3d.: candles are in demand; t6as aud tobacco at auction brought s Uisfacfcory rates. SYDNEY.—January 13.—Transactions in the import market to-day havj been almost nominal, some small lines of teas, aug irs, arid liquors, urgently required, were placed at aboublnst week's quotations'; but buyers generally are d 'ferring purchases until after the receipt of mail advices, which will probably come to bund on Wednesdiy. Breadstuffs are flat j holders are not pressing s lies; and transactions are quite of a retail character. ADELAlDE.—January' 10. —The corn market is firm; country flour sold at £16 12s. 6d. ; there are buyers of old wheat at 7s. 3 I.; new wheat is quoted at 6s. 6d.—January 13.—The corn market is quiet. Sales of new wheat have been effected at 6s. 9d.
