The P.N.Z. and A.R.M. Co's. s.s. Claud Hamilton, J. V. Hall commander, left Sydney on the 23rd December, and arrived at Hokitika on the 30th ; sailed again for Greymouth and arrived same day ; left Greymouth for Westport, and arrived January Ist 1868; left again for Nelson, and arrived at 230 p.m. on the 2nd. She reports having spoke the whaling barque Runnymede on the 25th Dec, the Omeo on theJ29th, and the Rangitoto on the 30th. The Claud Hamilton will not leave for Wellington to-day, as advertised, but is to proceed to Sydney via Westland, to-morrow. The s.s. Go-ahead arrived yesterday afternoon from the Buller, having left there on Monday last, for Wellington. Experienced very bad weather in making for the Straits, and finding steam could not be maintained with the bad coals she had on board, she ran for Nelson for better fuel, and resumes her passage this morning. The Australasian Packet left Nelson on the 7th ultimo, and arrived at Newcastle on the 19th. The three-masted schooner Margaret Campbell left Newcastle on the 23rd, with 179 tons coals for the Buller. Shipping Returns.—During the June quarter of this year 210 vessels, carrying 70,265 tons, were entered inwards at the different ports of New Zealand; and during the same period 230 vessels, carrying 81,231 tons, were cleared outwards. Tne ship Wild DuOk, commanded by Captain Bishop, arrived at Wellington, at 11 o'clock on the night of Dec. 20fch. Captain Bishop reports that he left Gravesend on the .9th September, and saw the last of the land on the 14th. The Equator was crossed on the 10th October; and the longitude run down in latitude 45 ° and 46 ° S. Made Cape Farewell on the 19th inst.; but the West Coast had been seen for some days previously, as the wind had been between north and north-east for 17 days. No accident or casualty occurred during tho voyage. On . the 12th instant, Dr. Johnston's lady gave birth to a female child ; both mother and child are doing well. The Wild Duck brings 106 passengers, several of whom are for Nelson. The clipper ship Robert Henderson, from Glasgow, arrived at Port Chalmers, on Dec. 15th. She bring a full cargo, twenty-seven cabin, and seventyone second-class and steerage passengers. The Norqe, Norwegian ship, 639 tons, Jetmundsen, from Frederickstadt, with cargo and passengers, arrived at Port Chalmers, on Dec. 20th. Thb Britannia, Sweedish ship, 686 tons, Wretman, from Qrewfle, with a general cargo, arrived at Port Chalmers, on Dec. 20th. Imports and Exports.—The value of the imports at the several ports of New Zealand during the quarter ended June 30, 1867, was £1,225,727, compnred with £1,282,485 for the corresponding quarter of 1866. The value of the exports during the firstnamed period was £1,263,863; during the corresponding quarter of 1866 £1,185,886.
