In our last we spoke of the expected arrival of four j or five coal vessels. Out of these the Triton, Alarm, j and Highlander havo since reached this port, the Alarm making the passage in 12 days, fine weather ; the Highlander was delayed by light southerly winds. We regret to learn that the mate of the Alarm was ', lost overboard on Sunday the 20th about 2 p.m. TnE lighthouse on Dog Island is now lit, and is a fine guide for vessels using Foveaux Straits. The light is visible twenty miles all round the compass.
