The P., N.Z., and A.R.M. Company's s.s. Tararua, Captain John Gardyne from Sydney, arrived here on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. She left Sydney on Thursday 15th June at noon, experienced fine weather during the passage with light head winds. Up to the time of the Tararua's sailing their was no news of the English Mail.
The N. Z. 8. N. Company's s.s. Wellington, Captain H. B. Francis, left Manukau Heads on the 18th instant at 3 p.m.. and arrived at Taranaki at 9 a.m. on tlie 19th ; left there at 3 p.m. and arrived at Nelson at 8.30 a.m. on the 20th instant.
The following is the list of passengers by the William Miskin from Hokitika. For Nelson— saloon—Messrs. Mullens, Cutterwell, Corn, Finney^ Murdock, and 7 for Lyttelton. and Dunedin; second cabin—l 2 for Nelson, and 44 for South.
The .William Miskin, leaves for Lyttelton and Dunedin, at 9 o'clock this morning.
The steamer Eleanor, now lying at Nelson, was offered for sale yesterday. The highest bid was £1500, and her owners bought her in.
The three-masted schooner Storm Bird, Captain W. Simpson, arrived at Taranaki on the 19th at 2 p.m., from Stewart's Island 13th, and Otago the 14th instant.
