A N EXTEAOEDINAEY GENEEAL A MEETING- of SHAREHOLDERS of this Company will be held on MONDAY, June 12, at 7 p.m , at the Trafalgar Hotel, to reconsider the following SPECIAL RESOLUTION, passed at a General Meeting of Shareholders, held at the above Hotel on the 15th ult,:— " . « That it is expedient and desirable to wind up the Nelson and Marlborough Coast Steam Navigation Company (limited), with all convenient speed." The following SCHOLARSHIPS will be OPEN for COMPETITION in JUNE next, by youths wherever born or resident, but the successful candidates must be or become students at the College to entitlo them to hold them :— 1. A Foundation Scholarship, of £20 a year, to be held for three years, and competed for by youths under fifteen years of age on the day of election. 2. The Stafford Scholarship, of £20 a year, to be competed for by youths who have attained the age of fifteen, and to be held for three years, provided that the holder shall write an Essay, to the satisfaction of the Principal, in each of the last two years, on some subject of Modern History of the scholar's own selection.
