WEDDING

ROGERS—MAGILL Four bridesmaids attended Patricia Beverleigh Magill for her wedding to Peter Timothy Rogers, of Ohaupo. The ceremony took place in St. Patrick’s Church, Te Awamutu. The bride chose for her gown white French stiffened lace made with a tinv Peter Pan collar, puff sleeves and fitting bodice. The bouffant skirt fell into a very long train, caught at each side with a .small spray of orange blossom. An uncut tulle veil fell from a Juliet cap made of velvet rosebuds, and the small crescent-shaped boquet was composed of carnations and tuberoses. A cameo brooch was the only jewellery worn. The ’maids, who preceded the bride to the alter, were Margaret Edmonds, Raymond Rogers, Veronica Bolton and Shirley Humphries. Dove grey mcire taffeta was worn with a Christian Dior collar, cap sleeves and a wide sash of grey lined with shell pink taffeta, finishing in a large bow at the back, over a circular skirt. The girls wore pink elbow-length gloves, and coronets and crescent bouquets of the same toning. Mrs. Magill chose a pale blue suit and hat to match, trimmed with black ospreys. A platina fox fur completed the ensemble on which a spray of violet shaded pansies was worn. Mrs. Rogers wore a blue frock with a navy blue edge to edge coat, navy blue hat and accessories, and pale blue spray. For travelling, the bride wore , an oyster shaded boucle suit, with dark brown accessories. Her model hat was brown velvet, trimmed with the same shaded feathers. Bathroom Evening Pat Magill and Peter Rogers were at the home of Mr. and Mis. C. O. Edmonds previous to their wedding, when Margaret Edwards was hostess to a bathroom evening. Margaret chose a mauve ballerina frock, trimmed with pink flowers at the waist, while the guest of honour looked charming in a smoke blue taffeta frock relieved with a silver belt. A very gay time was had by all, and after supper the haunv couple received a basket-full of gifts. Among those present were Valerie Spencer, Raymond Rogers, Pat Dy-more-Brown, Betty Dunn, Beverley Betts, Betty Mawston, Colleen Corboy, Meg. Malone, Mrs. Sherley and Mrs. Bruce Thomson.
