FULBRIGHT GRANT
DISTINCTION FOR MR RAYMOND C. QUICK STUDIES AT MASSACHUSETTS Advice has been received in Te Awamutu that Mr Raymond C. Quick, son of Mr and Mrs T. P. Quick, of Totara Street, has been awarded a Fulbright travel grant to facilitate study in the United States. Mr Quick is a graduate engaged in special electrical engineering studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has been in the States since August 1949. His undergraduate studies were carried out at both Auckland and Canterbury University Colleges, and he holds Bachelor of Engineering (honours) and B.Sc. degrees awarded in May, 1949. The many friends of Mr Quick will extend heartiest congratulations on this still further recognition of his scholastic ability and attainments and they will likewise congratulate Mr and Mrs Quick on their son’s success which brings distinction to the town and district in which Raymond is well and favourably known.
