KIHIKIHI NEWS
PRESBYTERIAN GARDEN PARTY The annual Garden Party of the Kihikihi Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild was held at the Manse recently. The weather proved kind and the afternoon was a very enjoyable one. There was a large attendance of members and friends. Competitions for vases and bowls of flowers resulted in some very pleasing entries, and the children’s section was also a successful one. Miss McDonald judged the entries. There were various competitions and several stalls which did brisk business and augmented Ithe funds considerably. A welcome to the Manse was given by Mr Warren during the afternoon, and Mrs G. McGhie (president) presented the prizes and expressed pleasure at the large attendance. One of the most pleasing features of the afternoon was the number of young Bible class folk Who attended and assisted so wil ‘ingly to make the afternoon the success it undoubtedly was.
A delicious afternoon tea brought to a close a happy and successful function.
