NO. I LICENSING AUTHORITY TWO LOCAL APPLICATIONS DECLINED The following are the reserved decisions of the Nd. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr E. J. Phelan in cases heard before him at Te Awamutu on Wednesday, November 9th. Amendment Granted The Authority decided to amend the continuous goods service of A. G. Wilson, Kihikihi, by granting the right to operate one additional vehicle authority , in the area of Waipa and Otorohapga counties for general goods. ’ ■ ■ ; , Applications Declined The authority decided to grant the application of R. W. Haycock for a route from Te Awamutu to Hamilton. The Authority stated that they were not satisfied that the sought for service was necessary. The application of T. L. Coupland, Te Awamutu for one additional vehicle authority was declined. “The licence has the right to operate two trips per day between Hamilton and Te Awamutu but is not at this stage taking advantage of the second trip. Under the circumstances, the Authority is not prepared to grant an additional vehicle authority until the existing license is fully operated,” stated the Authority.
