Telephone 151 M. 736 TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC POWER BOARD pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board to be held at the Board’s office Alexandra Street Te Awamutu on TUESDAY the 15th day of February 1949 at 10.30 a.m. there will be submitted for confirmation a resolution by way of Special Order passed at a Special Meeting of the said Board held on the 12th day of January 1949 raising a special loan of £50,000 under the provisions of Section 15 of “ The Finance Act No. 2 1936 ” for the further reticulation of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District such loan to be repayable in 25 years with interest at 3i% P e r annum and to be secured by a special rate of three-sevenths (3/7d) of a penny in the pound on the ratable (unimproved) value of all ratable property in the Te Awamutu Electric Power District. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited at the office of the Board and at the offices of the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu, the Te Awamutu Borough Council, Roche Street, Te Awamutu, the Otorohanga County Council, Otorohanga. the Raglan County Council, Ngaruawahia, and the Kawhia County Council, Kawhia, and is open for inspection of the public during office hours for 21 days immediately preceding the said 15th day of February, 1949. A poll of the ratepayers of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District is required to be taken on the above proposal if five per centum of such ratepayers so demand by writing under their hands delivered .or sent by post to the Board.
