Bridegroom Absent
The bridegroom failed to appear at the Anglican Church, Feilding, on a recent Saturday for a wedding scheduled for 11 a.m. Relatives and friends of both bride and bridegroom assembled at the appointed hour and the minister, was also in attendance. An embarrassing wait ensued. Inquiries made of and by friends of the bridegroom elicited no reason for his absence nor indication of his whereabouts. When hopes for his appearance finally dwindled it became the painful duty of the minister to suspend the wedding arrangements.
