The day, a red letter one for all lovers of growing things, commenced at the home of Mrs C. W. Armstrong whose beautiful garden with its many flowering shrubs was very much admired. The party then visited the Hamilton Hotel, where Mrs D. E. Connell explained her truly original method of indoor flower arrangement and the lovely terraced garden with its aviary of birds was explored. After lunch at the club rooms, a most interesting lecture on plant life in India was given by Mrs Henry Hall, who also showed her unique collection of tapestries. Mrs D. E.
