Tuberculosis In India
The first nation-wide vaccination campaign aimed at lowering the rate of tuberculosis in India was recently inaugurated in Madanapalle by Indian health authorities and officials of the World Health Organisation. The vaccine is being produced in India. About 2.500,000 people contract tuberculosis in India every year whilq deaths from the disease amount to 500,000 annually.
