Food Parcels for Britain
During August, 83,730 food parcels, weighing 847,3751 b, were shipped in nine dispatches to the United Kingdom, said the Postmaster-General, last week. This' compared with 88,866 parcels, weighing 822,8611 b dispatched by the Post Office in August last year. “In this present month and the next, we expect that the quantities will go up a lot with Christmas postings,” he said. “It will be a help to the Post Office if the public will co-operate in posting Christmas parcels for Britain as early as possible.”
