Hospital Cleaning
A statement on the first year’s operations of the commercial cleaning firm under contract to the Waikato Hospital Board was presented at Monday’s meeting of the board. It was resolved by members to obtain further enlightenment on items of the expenses account. The medical superintendent, Dr R. H. Gould, said that great improvements had been effected at the hospital by the employment of the firm. More staff was now available for other duties, and the nurses had been relieved of cleaning and washing activities.
