Supply Of Power
It was encouraging to see so many new connections, but the question that would worry the board was how u’as the power to be found, commented Mr E. H. Rhodes, at Monday’s meeting of the Te Awamutu Electric Pou’er Board, when the chief electrical inspector’s report was presented by the secretary-manager, Mr M. Barnett. Mr Rhodes went on to observe that the voluntary conservation of power had proved a “wash-out,” that though some consumers conscientiously reduced their consumption, others made the most of the situation. He considered that in the event of power cuts being reimposed, the board should go in with other districts and institute compulsory restrictions at the outset.
