HOSPITAL SERVICE

MEDICAL GRA'DUANTS AMENDMENTS TO REGULATIONS The Waikato Hospital Board at its meeting on Monday, received a reply from the Hospital Board’s Association which had been advised of the board’s resolution recommending chat no doctor should be allowed to engage in private practice before serving at least two years in a public hospital following graduation. The board had asked that repreentations should be made to the Minister of Health, Miss Howard, to implement the necessary amendments co the statutes or regulations to bring about the desired results. The association replied that the matter was somewhat outteide Sts scope. It suggested that the board should approach the British Medical Association. On the motion of Mr E. G. Guy it was decided to make representations direct to the Minister of Health. Copies will be forwarded to all hospital boards, members of Parliament in the board’s district and the British Medical Association.
