T H. MILLAR, Returning Officer 326 of the Borough of Te Awamutu. | WAIKATO HOSPITAL BOARD I __ I TO THE ELECTORS OF WAIPA COUNTY, BOROUGH ' OF TE AWAMUTU, AND LEAM- | INGTON TOWN DISTRICT i

JJAVING been nominated by the retiring Representative, Mr S. C. B. Macky., and having his support, I offer my sendees for a seat on the Waikato Hospital Board. I have had a wide experience and knowledge of local body affairs, being a County Councillor for the past 15 years, and at present am acting * Chairman of the Waipa County Council, a member of the Waikato Central Power Board, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Hamilton Technical College. I am also associated with many other district organisations, including the Waikato District Pig Council, of which I am Deputy-Chairman. I am and always have been a believer in the policy of decentralisation and whole-heartedly support Te Awamutu and District’s claims for additional hospital facilities. With my knowledge and experience of local body activities, I feel that, if returned, I will be in a position to strongly advance Te Awamutu and district’s claims, and will at all times urge most strongly that they be given effect. As sitting member of the Council my return would ensure the continuity of the Waipa County Council’s direct representation on the Waikato Hospital Board, which has obtained for a very lengthy period of years. It is essential that the Waipa County Council, as the largest conf tributor of Hospital rates in the Combined District, should have a direct voice in the expenditure of funds contributed by the Ratepayers of such Combined District. 279 F.
