New Skirt Length
The new fashion trend for increasing the length of women’s skirts is a warning to footwear manufacturers and retailers (states the New Zealand Draper and Allied Retailer, official organ of the New Zealand Retailers’ Federation). “When women wear short skirts the glance tends upward. When they wear long skirts, the attention is focused downward, and more importance will be thrown on the shoes,” he adds. “Styles in footwear will tend to become more ornamental.” »
