An Auckland merchant with operations in the Morrinsville district, well versed in the cereal business, informed a Star representative that owing' to Government action in commandeering* large quantities 1 of maize for poultry mash, dairy farmers in Waikato are not likely to be able to get anything like sufficient maize for green feed purposes. If the position is not altered, and another dry season eventuate, there will be far reaching effects, particularly a decline in dairy production.
