Prolific Ewe
A Romney cross ewe owned by Mr D. McDonald, of Wyndham Ridges, Southland, in a period of five years has given birth to 15 lambs, all except two of which survived. At a two-tooth she had twins, as a two-year-old triplets, as a three-year-old triplets, as a four-year-old triplets, and as a five-year-old quadruplets. The mother was a twin which was reared by a goat.
