Angling an Ancient Art
The angler who fishes our streams in his holidays for his sport, is following a practice, be it for pleasure or profit, of great antiquity (says a writer in a contemporary). A happy angling venue for the ancients was the River Nile. On monuments at Thebes arc to be seen several pictures of persons engaged in fishing.
