REPLACING TREES
HEDGE NOT TO BE PLANTED DOMAIN BOARD’S DECISION Wlhen the trees in Albert Park facing George Street were felled the Borough Council tentatively agreed that they should be replaced with a hedge. ,At Monday night’s meeting of the Council the works committee recommended that the Domain Board should not plant ja hedges but slope the frontage back and grass the bank. At the meeting of the Domain Board following the Council meeting Mr Parsons said he thought the suggestion .a very good .one, and (he moved that the recommendation be adopted. The motion was carried.
