FINE PERFORMANCE
CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS SINGLES PRESENTATION AT BOWLING CLUB MEETING The presentation of a silver cup by Ml- Harris of the Waikato-Thames Valley Centre, to Mr M. Borich, winner of the champion of champion singles for the centre, was a pleasing feature of last night’s annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Bowling Club. Mr T. Grant, who made the presentation, said it gave him great pleasure to hand over the cup to Mr Borich, and he extended the centre’s congratulations to the winner on his very'fine performance. Mr Harris, who was unable to be present, asked that his congratulations be offered to the winner also. Mr Grant then handed the cup to Mi- Borich amidst loud applause. Mr -Borich thanked Mr Harris for the donation of the cup, and the speakers for their kind remarks. He was not sure whether he had. played good bowls or not, or whether it was just luck. He would endeavour to uphold the club’s honour next year if he should again win the club championship. A hearty round of applause greeted Mr Borich as he resumed his seat.
