SOUTH AUCKLAND MEETING OFFICERS ELECTED The annual meeting of the South Auckland Baptist Auxiliary was held at Rotorua when Mr C- F. Hart presided over 40 delegates from Cambridge, Hamilton, Morrinsville, Rotorua, Tauranga, Te Awamutu, Waihi and Putaruru. The secretary reported an increase in church and Sunday school membership. The churches had given liberally to the denomination, as well as supporting their own forward movements. Encouraging reports were received from the Home Mission, Foreign Mission and Youth committees. The Baptist Women’s Missionary Union and Bible Class Union executives also met and reported to a later session. A motion was passed urging the Government to make every effort to meet further the needs of starving people in Great Britain, India and Europe. The new officers of the Union are:—president, Rev. J. C. Macky (Thames); vicepresident, Mr E. Ward (Putaruru); secretary, Rev. G- N. Garlick (TeAwamutu); treasurer, Mr E. McGregor (Morrinsville); minute secretary, Rev. C. D. Rosie (Morrinsville). The Rev. F. A. Parry (Rotorua) presided over the Communion service. In the evening an address was given by the Rev. J. H. Deane, 8.A., 8.D., principal of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute.
