WAIKATO HOTELS
MEETING OF LICENSING BENCH LICENSEES CONGRATULATED ON STANDARD OF CONDUCT The annual meeting of the Waikato Licensing Bench was held in the Te Awamutu Court-house on Wednesday. The Bench comprised Mr S. L. Paterson S.M., Messrs Edgar James, Mervyn Wells (Cambridge), L. G. Armstrong, J. T. Young and 11. P. Ensor (Te Awamutu). The Clerk, Mr J. D. Kerr, s*ad the minutes of the last annual meeting. j Sergeant A. Bisset represented the police. The chairman said the police reports showed that the conduct of the hotels had been very good, and the licensees were to be commended on the standard of conduct of their hotels. Renewals Renewals were granted in the following cases:— Frank Higham (Mr P. S. Page), Commercial Hotel, Te Awamutu; E. H. Cucksey (Mr P. S- Page) Te Awamutu Hotel, Te Awamutu; J. D. Reuse (Mr D. J. Rouse), Central Hotel, Cambridge; V. E. Ricket (Mr D. J. Rouse), National Hotel, Cambridge; N. D. Culpam Mr P. S. Page), Masonic Hotel, Cambridge; J. D. O’Sullivan (Mr P. S. Page), Waihou Hotel, Waihou; C. T. Beamish (Mr P. S. Page), Ohaupo Hotel, Ohaupo; A. 0. Hood (Mr P. S. Page), Alexandra Hotel, Pirongia.
