WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
TE AWAMUTU BRANCH The monthly meeting of Te Awa,mutu Women’s Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Bth February. Mrs Angus presided over a small attendance of members. The meeting opened with the aspirations, after which Mrs Angus welcomed all members. A roll call for suggestions for next year’s programme brought in some good suggestions. The winner of the cup competition was Mrs Menary 1, Mrs Tolich 2; tea towel, Mrs Tolich 1, Mrs Menary 2; stem of bloom, Mrs Knight 1, 'Mrs Tolich 2; wandering shilling, Mrs Irwin. Nominations were taken for the offices of president and commSttee for the ensuing year. During the afternoon Miss Joan Moxham entertained with two pianoforte solos.
