TWO LOCAL MEN WOUNDED Mr C. Hinton, of Alexandra Street, has received word that his son, Corporal Roy Hinton, has been wounded on active service for the second time. Prior to enlistment Corporal Hinton was in business in Te Awamutu. Private E. C. Randall, who is reported wounded, was farming in the Pirongia district, where his sister, Mrs M. E, Ormsby, resides. He was a keen footballer. Reported killed in action in the latest casualty list, Private H. G. Grant was well known in Te Awamutu, having been employed for a lengthy period with Coupland’s Transport. He played for the Rovers Football Club, and represented the Wlaipa Union. His mother, Mrs M. G. Ham, is now living in Hamilton.
