MORRINSVILLE STOGK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s Morrinsville stock sale, held last Friday:— Sheep; There was a good entry of fat sheep and lambs and a small entry of store lambs. Competition was steady, and prices were on a par with recent late rates. Fat wethers made 27s to 27s 9d, lighter 255, fat blackface hoggets 24s to 26s 6d, fat ewes to 15s, prime heavy fat lambs 26s 9d, light fat lambs 21s 10d to 225, forward wether lambs 17s 6d, black-face store lambs 14s, white-face store wether lambs Ils Id to 14s 3d. Cattle: A good yarding of fat cows was penned, and heavy prime quality was in demand and sold freely. An extra heavy entry of boner and store cows was easier in value, but prices for bulls were firm. RABBITSKIN SALE Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report as on their rab-bit-skin sale, held at Dunedin last week: At the first of the winter season sales of rabbit-skins an offering of approximately sixty tons was submitted to a full bench of exporters. The demand was strong throughout, and values showed a considerable increase as compared with last sale’s prices. Racks and runners sold particularly well at 24d to 30d per lb firmer, and a small percentage of early autumns topped the market dt 114 d per lb. The range of prices was as follows: Small 353 d to 40Jd per lb, runners 82d to 88id, summers 46£d to 48d, autumn broken 61d to 63id, summer broken 43d to 46~d. milky does 45d to 46id, prime racks lOld to 104 d, light racks IOOd to 105 d, dawny autumns 93d to 98d, autumns 107 d to 114 d, summer black 12d to 18d, autumn black 18d to 24d, summer fawns 12d. weevilly 51d.
