LOW-FLYING PLANES

Sir, —May I, through your correspondence column, lodge a protest about low-flying planes over Pirongia Mountain. One came over the other morning and scared seven devils out of my horses. The ensuing hectic five minutes •have moved me to write. One of these days one of these airmen will bump into a nobby bit of the mountain and scatter himself all over the scenery. The damage ho will do to our mountain will be as nothing compared with the damage lengthy period wit hCoupland’s Transsions won’t stop when the bombs finish exploding. I and my neighbours will lose much valuable time finding the scattered bits of airman for the funeral. The plane, if it catches fire, will burn the trees the Water Board hasn’t planted yet! However, if those airmen are inspecting the desirable farm property which I till won’t someone tell them to come by car ?—I am, CLODHOPPER.
