TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s sale held at Te Awamutu on Thursday:— Sheep: A medium entry of fat sheep sold readily at very firm rates, and a small supply of store sheep sold at unchanged values. Medium-weight wethers sold to 27s 6d, prime South-down-cross wethers to 24s 3d, prime Southdown-cross ewes to 23s 3d, heavy prime lambs to 27s 6d, medium 22s ta, 245, lighfr 19s to 21s, 1-shear Romney rams 2 to 3 gns., white-face store lambs 13s to 15s 6d.

Cattle: A medium entry of fat cattle comprised mostly light weights, and here also values remained firm. A few pens of in-calf heifers attracted considerable interest, and, considering the dry weather, prices were in vendors ’favour. The entry of store lambs comprised a line of good-con-dition black-face lambs, which sold at recent ruling, values. Fat wethers 22s to 27s 6d, fat lambs 19s 6d to 22s 6d, forward store lambs 12s to 15s 9d. . ,

Beef was yarded in average supply, and comprised mostly light weighcattle. Bidding was restricted, and values eased on last sale. A full entry of boner cows showed an easing tendency.
