WAS BRIGHT

DANCE FOR SERVICEMEN Last night members of the Women’s Auxiliary Corps provided entertainment for the Forces in the form of a dance. It took place in the Oddfellows’ Hall, and was a thoroughly enjoyable function. Music was supplied by Mesdames C. Parish and H. G. Babbage (piano), Mr M. Richardson (violin), and members of the Air Force. Mr Richardson also played several violin solos, which were much appreciated. Mrs Allan Kay, officer commanding the Women’s Auxiliary, called upon Pilot-Officer Exton to accept a donation from the Auxiliary to help furnish the living quarters at the Air Force station.

Pilot-Officer Exton suitably replied, and the girls were accorded a spontaneous round of applause. A delicious supper was served, and dancing was resumed till midnight, when yet another happy evening concluded.
