MORRINSVILLE SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report on the Morrinsville Sale as follows: A large yarding of cattle came forward which included a good penning of fat and boner cows and a full entry of yearling jersey heifers. The advertised entry of 350 bullocks were yarded in good order and were offered before a large and representative attendants of buyers. The demand was exceedingly keen and the whole entry changed hands. Forward conditioned 4-year-old P.A. bullocks sold from £l2 to £l2 7s; 3 and 4-year-old bullocks from £ll 5s to £ll 12s; 3 and 4-year-old P.A. bullocks £ll 7s to £ll 19s. The sheep entry consisted mainly of fat wethers and these sold at ruling values. At Morrinsville on Friday the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited yarded a small entry of fat sheep composed of wether and hogget mutton, for which late values were maintained. The supply of store ewes and wethers from Hawke’s Bay attracted attention, but values were slightly easier than those ruling at late sales. A large yarding of all classes of fat and stire cattle included a good offering of beef, which met steady competition and sold up to full late rates. Yearling and two-year-old Jersey heifers were also in demand, and the large yarding changed hands readily. A full penning of boner cows maintained late values. A large supply of dairy cattle sold at recent firm quotations. There was a full yarding of all classes of pigs, and baconers and porkers showed an improvement in value, butter-milk pigs especially being in demand, and a good sale resulted. Cattle: Heavy prime Hereford cows and heifers £lO to £lO 7s, heavy prime Jersey cows £8 to £9, medium £6 15s to £7 10s, light killable cows £5 5s to £6 10s, heavy boners £4 15s to £5 6s, medium £3 15s to £4 10s, store cows £2 to £3, heavy potter bulls £l2 15s to £l5, others £5 to £lO, service bulls £8 to £8 15s, pedigee Jersey bulls 12 to 15 guineas, two-year Jersey heifers £4 10s to £5, yearling Jersey heifers £5 15s to £6 ss, others £4 to' £5. Dairy Cattle: Good-quality springing heifers £ll to £l2 ss, good-qual-ity cows in milk £lO 10s to £l2, Jersey heifers in milk £lO to £ll 10s, smaller £7 10s to £8 10s.
