SMUTS ON HITLER “General Smuts made a declaration of fajfh when he enunciated the future policy of his Government. That declaration has now been described by the Press of this country, as the “Bloemfontein Charter.” In his great speech he said something which must have been in the minds of millions of men throughout this tortured world. Speaking of Adolf Hitler, he said: That man is the Devil himself, and the Antichrist is loose in the world to-day. I did not believe before, while things were going smoothly in the world, that there really was such a thing as Antichrist, but I believe it to-day, and to-day I see what incarnate evil means in the world.”—South African Patriot.
